NEW PARADIGMS
A live corpse
It was difficult to convince him
Robert Dilts tells the story of a man who believed he
was a corpse. His psychiatrist, in an effort to prove the belief wrong,
asked if corpses bleed. The man said, "No, they do not".
The man then agreed to an experiment, and the good
doctor pricked his finger with a needle. The man looked at his bleeding
finger and said, "I was wrong, corpses do bleed."
